La relación comercial entre Colombia y México nace en el año 1989 con la firma del acuerdo G3 en el cual se incluía también Venezuela, el cual decidió dejar el grupo en el año 2006. Desde este momento ambos países han estado interesados en fomentar sus lazos comerciales con el objetivo de fortalecer sus economías en busca de la competitividad, lo cual se evidencia con la participación en el acuerdo de integración económica denominado Alianza del pacifico incluyendo además a Chile y Perú. En este se pretende construir una zona de libre comercio con la perspectiva de participar en los mercados asiáticos y europeos. En el presente artículo se intenta resaltar aquellas características de los dos países que contribuyen de una u otra manera al sostenimiento de la relación comercial e identificación de beneficios colectivos para el desarrollo constante. The commercial relationship between Colombia and Mexico was born in 1989 with the signing of the G3 agreement, which also included Venezuela, which decided to leave the group in 2006. From this moment both countries have been interested in promoting their commercial ties with the objective of strengthening their economies in search of competitiveness, which is evidenced by the participation in the economic integration agreement called the Alliance of the Pacific, also including Chile and Peru. This is intended to build a free trade zone with the prospect of participating in Asian and European markets. In this article, we try to highlight those characteristics of the two countries that contribute in one way or another to sustaining the commercial relationship and identifying collective benefits for constant development.
