The present transversal correlational and action- research, has a qualitative approach and aims to determine the impact of the implementation of the methodology based on the storytelling for the development of listening comprehension of semantic fields in English in boys and girls of the CEPAS group (Center for Pedagogical and Social Studies and Practices) of the University of Quindío. The concept storytelling was adopted according to the perspective of Garzón (2010); the definition of semantic fields coined by Rodríguez (2011) and the definition of listening comprehension by Rost (2002), Wipf (1984), and Galvin (1988). The story "Aladdin” was narrated, previously selected by the children themselves, from which three semantic fields were extracted: animals, colors and sizes. To follow up on this research, the following instruments were applied: interview with the pedagogue, survey of children, integral valorative test (Echavarría, Herrera and Segure, 2002) to assess the level of listening comprehension of semantic fields. Finally, in the analysis of results there is evidence of a development in the listening comprehension skills of the CEPAS group in terms of the three semantic fields worked on.
