Five categories arose from the data 8 analysis: the impact of the culture of both languages on the cultural identity, the identification with the culture of both languages, the strengthening of the cultural identity in the institution, the difficulties of the institution regarding the importance of promoting cultural identity, and the awareness about new cultures and cultural transmission. From the results, it was found that the teaching of foreign language influences the culture of the mother tongue taking into account that through second language learning students get involved in the cultural aspects of the foreign culture, and make comparisons between both cultures. In addition, it could be seen that it is necessary that the institution shows the importance of the own culture. On the other hand, some advantages and disadvantages in the strengthening of the cultural identity in the institution were found; and that the students do not have enough knowledge about the culture of both languages. Moreover, teachers claim to have an intercultural development in the classroom by developing activities that show the importance of the culture.
