The objective of this ongoing research is to facilitate the understanding of the concepts of addition, substation and multiplication of polynomials in deaf students from CASD Hermógenes Maza School in Armenia City. It is being carried out by the implementation of didactic sequences privileging the use of manipulative resources and different forms of concept's representation (visual-geometrical, verbal-linguistic and symbolic.) Therefore, it is necessary to implement the didactic engineering methodology in order to analyze the level of understanding achieved by students in the construction of concepts and the role of representations and elements of geometric-algebra as facilitators and mediators of deaf students learning.
