With this Project we are looking towards designing a model that helps the company Tienda La Cigueña, to change its methodology in regard to management and control of inventory, initially we do a diagnosis about the actual situation of the company through a SWOT matrix, to identify which are the strengths and weaknesses in the process of inventory and the strategies and tools that are implemented in its development, then we do an analysis to delimit if the impact is positive or negative regarding to the management of inventory.
Later, a manual of functions for each charge of the company is created, specially the ones related to the control of inventory to give answer to the shortcomings presented in the process and delimit hierarchies and responsabilities, to assure a better control of the goods. Then, an ABC analysis of the clasification of the products applying the Pareto’s principle which stablishes that there are ‘few crucial articles and many trivial articles’ in which is stablished an inventory policy that centers its resourses in the few crucial parts, that is to sat, in the articles that repesent higher importance in relation to its monetary value and annual rotation. (Pareto, 2014 p477).
